Swag in Starbucks

It was early, my eyes are still half closed because it is before 9 am on Saturday. But I was feeling the spirit this morning on my way to choir practice, and realizing that I needed a little bit of help to get going I stopped at Starbucks. Feeling a bit adventurous I tried a flavor I don't usually try. But still not focused I wasn't being very social, until...

Tap...tap...tap...The only other patron in the store was now tapping me on the right shoulder.

Slowly, I looked up because after all, this man had been bold enough to invade my personal space. He proceeded to share with me that he was going to surprise his best friend by visiting him in Atlanta. As he further disclosed unsolicited information I learned that the friend lived in Arizona and they had not seen each other in years. The conversation left me with more questions than answers but because it wasn't my business and I had not started the conversation I was convicted not to ask. But since he volunteered so much information I didn't ask for I suppose it couldn't have hurt anything to ask questions. Seemed so random but as odd as if was, I smiled all weekend thinking about the weird exchange.
